Welcome back to your weekly round up of fresh, emerging music talent. I’m particularly excited about this batch: a variety of genres, a perfect split of male and female artists, some who are crossing borders while others are building strong local followings. I hope you find an artist you didn’t know or a song you’ll be playing on repeat 🔁

But what is SONAR again? If you missed it, SONAR aims to identify emerging artists before they reach widespread recognition. Harnessing the power of data and machine learning, we compile information on said artists across streaming, fan engagement, release patterns and many more to predict their chances of future success.

And it doesn’t stop here: the beauty of SONAR is that we cater to any music professional for any specific genre or niche. We sort our artists to fit the context of each request (e.g. an existing roster, a targeted audience) to ensure our final predictions are personalized and customized. After all, music is all about curation.

Ok enough talking. Enjoy what comes next and save our playlist for the full experience. Happy Monday!

This pop singer from Mexico reached success straight away with his first release back in May. His second single came out in September and made it to Fresh Finds Latin within 2 weeks of release. His social media reach is impressive, with over 3M followers on Instagram and close to 800K on TikTok.

4. Mawey

Mawey has everything of a (too rare) future success story for a woman in the French urban scene. Her music intertwines rap, slam and vocals with mind blowing facility. She’s also a compulsive writer, having composed over 480 musical pieces in two years.
